OneCare Vermont is pleased to announce that Sara Barry, MPH, current senior director of Value Based Care, has been selected to serve as Chief Operating Officer (COO) effective October 21, 2019.
Barry has been with OneCare for nearly four years, most recently leading our clinical, quality, analytics, and informatics teams as senior director of Value Based Care.
She has 20 years of experience with designing, conducting, and evaluating healthcare improvement initiatives, both statewide and nationally.
Prior to her tenure at OneCare, Barry served on the faculty in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Vermont College of Medicine, where she was responsible for administrative, fiscal, and operational management of the Vermont Child Health Improvement Program. The work there included accountability for strategic planning, program and policy development, grant writing, staff development, and effective and efficient day-to-day operations.
Barry is a seasoned quality improvement trainer, facilitator, and coach. She’s worked with hundreds of clinical teams to implement topic-specific quality improvement projects.
Barry received her master’s in public health from Dartmouth Medical School’s Center for Evaluative Clinical Sciences; has completed additional post-graduate work in leadership, health policy, and research; and is working on her PhD in Leadership and Change. She also consults nationally with healthcare delivery and healthcare improvement organizations to improve the capacity of the clinical workforce to achieve significant improvements in healthcare delivery and health outcomes.
