What We Do

OneCare is Vermont’s local, 501(c)(3) Accountable Care Organization (ACO). We work at the forefront of health care reform and innovation by partnering with health care providers to transform the state’s health care system. By managing network performance, giving health care providers actionable data and analytics, and providing payments in a structure that incentivizes quality of care and improved population health, we support participating organizations in their work to deliver excellent health care to Vermonters.

Working at OneCare

OneCare is a fast-paced, innovative organization in the evolving field of health care reform. Employees at OneCare have the opportunity to challenge themselves and grow while working in a collaborative environment striving for excellence together. We are a mission-driven organization that values equity, communication, and integrity. Because health care touches all Vermonters, we aim for continuous improvement in all that we do.

Employee Benefits

OneCare Vermont is an affiliate of the University of Vermont Medical Center. Through UVM Medical Center, we offer a comprehensive, total compensation package that includes salary, health and wellness benefits, paid time off, and more. A key employee benefit is our health care plans. These are designed to be affordable and flexible, allowing employees to choose the coverage that works best for their personal or family situation and making it easy to change their coverage as they move through different phases of their lives. And the UVM Medical Center pays a significant portion of the cost. To read more about all of the benefits OneCare offers its employees as an affiliate of UVM Medical Center, please visit the UVM Medical Center employee benefits page.

OneCare is committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion.

OneCare aims to improve the health and wellbeing of all Vermonters by connecting providers and communities across Vermont. OneCare is committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion because we serve Vermonters and health care providers from all backgrounds throughout our state.

Health access, health equity, and social contributors to health are key aspects of the health care system in Vermont. We are driven to examine our organization’s role in realizing health equity as part of healthcare reform and we are committed to listening, to learning, and to standing together against racism.
